A busy fortnight has resulted in two new community blogs, Colglen and Jura, as well as the first entry in LifeStories, and a third community on the verge of joining our expanding network. One that site is up and running, we’re going to finish off the formatting of lifestories and then move onto the business listings site. We should also mention The Friends of Auchindrain whose blog is cracking on at a ferocious pace. The pictures are brilliant (we’ve added one here) giving a real flavour of life in Argyll.
And of course all this activity has impacted upon our google.com ranking for the search term “Argyll”. From over 200 we are now down to 161. OK so this may not seem like great news — How far are we off the front page? — but then you search on stories posted on the main site in the last few weeks and you find we rank with websites like the Scotsman, the Guardian and others. Not too shabby eh? So the input of time and energy is paying off. Well at least in terms of ranking and therefore traffic.
